Myra Price – Treasurer

Myra Price is a retired educator of nearly 14 years with both public and parochial settings in the City of Chicago where she enjoyed inspiring children to reach their full academic potential. Over the past two plus decades, she has devoted her time to a second career in community service and philanthropy.

In addition to serving on the Maywood Fine Arts Board of Directors, Myra served as a sponsor and mentor with Link Unlimited for 16 years.  During her time of service there, she was a recipient of Link Unlimited’s Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Distinguished Service.  She also was a Co-chair for the Annual DreamKeepers Gala and served as Chair of the Auction Committee.

Other service work includes acting as 2013 Chair for the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity Annual Gala, serving as President of Amity School Children’s Aid for 15 years, and being a mentor for Future Philanthropists.

Myra has a bachelor degree and Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees from Roosevelt University. She and her husband Kevin Sr. have three adult children and reside in Chicago, Illinois.
