Karen Daily

Karen Daily comes with 20 years of fundraising experience starting as a volunteer with Oak Park schools and eventually with the Oak Park Education Foundation. She joined the OPEF Board of Directors in 2012 and was Chair of the Finance Committee and Board Chair. In 2016, Karen resigned from the board to accept the Director of Development role. Working closely with the Executive Director her responsibilities included planning and executing fundraising events, interacting with current and potential donors to encourage contributions, and seeking out opportunities for financial support through grants and sponsorships. In 2022 she left that role to pursue other interests but continues to be passionate about serving kids through creative and educational enrichment.

Karen earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Illinois and spent her early career in Human Resources. She loves to cook, travel, and spend time with her family. Karen lives in Oak Park with her husband Brian, young adult sons Roan and Cason, and brand new puppy Finley!
